- Silica does not clump—only solid waste needs to be removed—meaning you may need to change the litter less frequently.
- Made from a blend of lavender-scented, activated silica crystals which absorb moisture and lock in odors on contact.
- Highly absorbent, can soak up large quantities of urine even before odor can be detected.
- Silica cat litter is suitable for use in any litter box, but is especially useful in automatic litter boxes due to silica granules’ non-stick texture.
- A clean, pleasant-smelling litter box encourages your cat’s usage.

Always wash your hands thoroughly after handling used cat litter, as cat feces may contain Toxoplasma gondii—a parasite that can cause toxoplasmosis. Pregnant or nursing women, as well as children and anyone with a weakened immune system, should avoid handling used cat litter. Always handle litter in a ventilated area to avoid inhalation. Keep contents and packaging out of reach of children and pets. Seek medical help in case of accidental ingestion.
- Fill a regular size litter pan with 1.5 to 2 inches of Catit Silica Cat Litter.
- Stir the contents from time to time to enhance the absorption capabilities.
- If your litter pan is covered with a hood, remove it occasionally to facilitate the evaporation process.
- Although there are no urine clumps to scoop out, it is recommended to remove the dried feces periodically.
- After approximately 1 month, discard the entire litter and replace with new litter. (Empty and clean litter box when it becomes excessively soiled.)
- Dispose in a trash receptacle. Do not flush waste down the toilet or any waste system.
- For best results, keep your litter pan in a cool, dry and well ventilated area.
- If your cat has difficulty getting used to Catit Silica Cat Litter, blend in some of the old litter. Gradually reduce the quantity of the old litter as your cat becomes accustomed to the new litter.
- There may be a completely harmless, soft popping or hissing sound emitted when liquid is absorbed.
